Great Paper ...useless app I want to give ZERO STARS Worked at first.. Occasionally stuck on " Authorising" or "LOG IN” Only able to access my copy by uninstall- reinstall ( so loosing all progress on crosswords) This accelerated to happening up to 4 or more days a week Now uninstalling does no good I CANNOT GET MY PAPER
I can not always play online the paper and this is very frustrating. The app sometimes asks for your e mail and subscriber id which it should not do if perchaced from the app store. Otherwise the paper is great.
Really enjoyed the app. A few days ago I started receiving payment declined messages. Using different credit cards as suggested in the Google fix got the same payment declined message. I customer service and Google couldn't resolve the issue. I decided to cancel the subscription and try again. I discovered that a monthly subscription payment had to be made by direct debit and not by credit card. If I had been informed of this change it would have saved much time and frustration for me and Google
I have 2 issues with the online version. When you decide to subscribe you are presented with weekly, monthly and annual options but with no prices. Tap on one to see the price and - boom - you are committed. There should be a price confirmation stage. Secondly if you are even slightly zoomed in you can't change to the next page, you have to move out which is frustrating and unnecessary. Also I think an archive search should be created to discover old articles.
Needs work. I also get a paper copy so the clunky app layout doesn't really bother me, though it's just like zooming in or out on a photo. Doesn't even work like a Kindle app. My gripe is the interactive puzzles link at the top of the home page disappears regularly. It's no good saying just open the relevant page in the download, because all you can do is look at the puzzles, you can't actually work on them. This maybe a small thing, but if it doesn't work, it might as well not be there."
