It actually works! Thank you! I would like to see a 60hz option in your YouTube video and maybe HDR/SDR as well as these could have different delays and could make it more accurate? Also maybe a longer, downloadable version for devices that don't have YouTube built in (my Blu ray player only had usb). A tip I found is to go right up to the screen while calibrating as it removes any variation like another review stated. Overall this is perfect.
I felt I had to review this after seeing some of the negative comments here from people that did not seem to understand the purpose of this app. I've had very good results using this app to set the audio delay on my home theater system. I need it because 24p film content has increased delay vs. standard 60hz content on my TV. Used in combination with the Spears & Munsil HD disc's av sync pattern, the app tells me to delay audio by about 120ms. I plug it into the receiver and all is good.
Seems like what i want, but i do not really understand how app works. I through it should just measure time between white screen flash and sound start produsing in DUT, but it seems like not the case! So how it works? Results seems random! And slider on Generator on DUT does not change anything for results! I made simple experiment: point app to white, so it above threshold in app, then after about 1 sec say "BAM" so sound will be also above threshold.. AND . result is randdom.. ~100ms, 400ms..
Works amazing, unused this to set my audio delay without having to guess. Open up YouTube on your TV, play a test clip and point your phone at the TV. Super easy, awesome little app.
My mistake--not what I am looking for'
