ABOUT KAMILI YOGA:
Kamili Yoga is an Afrocentric system for Black holistic wellness. From the African Swahili word for complete and the Indian Sanskrit word for union, Kamili Yoga is born of the need for more systems of Yoga that center Black wellness and celebrate the cultures and histories of the African continent and diaspora. Kamili Yoga consists of three structured core tenets, each of which is rooted in the exploration of Pan-African traditions and peoples, from the African ancestors spread across the Motherland to the Black descendants dispersed around the world.

Open to practitioners of any skill level or racial identity, Kamili Yoga exists to expand options for more culturally diverse Yoga systems, more Yoga systems that de-center Whiteness, and more Yoga systems that recognize the beautiful depths of Black Pan-African being.

ABOUT THE APP:
The Kamili Yoga Student App offers lessons to learn and live Pan-African knowledge through Yoga. Through self-guided mobile instruction, students have the freedom to create the atmosphere that works best for them. Learn and practice in your home, in your yard, or even at a park . . . anywhere you have a screen and Internet access. Miss being in community? Try practicing together with partners, friends, and family!

ABOUT THE FOUNDER:
Eternity Philops (she/they/Mx.) is the creator of the Kamili Yoga system. A bodaciously Black and unapologetically queer conscious being of the USAmerican Southeast, Eternity works to educate and serve Black, BIPOC, and QTPOC communities in Yoga wellness. Eternity earned dual certifications in both Indian Hatha Yoga and African Kemetic Yoga, and has been teaching professionally since 2017. Eternity is honored to have taught Yoga to hundreds of students through community classes, university courses, private sessions, and wellness retreats.
