BEYOND APP
The BEYOND app from Widex allows hearing aid users to connect to their BEYOND hearing aid, and control hearing aid functions. With a customizable interface, users can insert their own images and make adjustments to the sound in personalized programs.
With the BEYOND app you can:
Adjust hearing aid volume and mute hearing aids
Adjust directional focus to aid listening
Create personal programs with different names, your own pictures and sound adjustments
Choose favorite programs to appear on the front page
Add locations to programs for automatic selection when in specific locations
Adjust the sound equalization in up to three bands, or choose from sound pre-sets
Access help in using the app, connecting and troubleshooting
Locate your hearing aids if lost

These hearing aids are made with iPhone in mind! They connect and stream all music/phone functions perfectly. On the Android system it is beyond horrible. No option for streaming music, phone calls, etc. on Android. No longer connects to my hearing aids. Less that 1 star.
These hearing aids get the job done but the Bluetooth compatibility is extremely frustrating. I cannot take my hearing aids on and off all day to use my Bluetooth piece. My rep (San Francisco Hearing and Speech Center) told me android would become available. Its been over a year and nothing. The app is useful if you want to adjust audio settings. I uninstalled it because I never use it. Please work to get Android users Bluetooth compatibility. I believe $6,000+ is a high price to pay!
If you want hearing aids that amplifies background volume really well and drowns out the conversation of someone beside you, then this one is for you. The last adjustment on the right for clarity does absolutely nothing. These aides are a complete waste of your money. And there seems to be very little concern by anyone to help improve the issues. Calling Widex help line is a complete waste of time and effort.
I don't think telling you what I think can be printed. For Pete's sake Widex get on the ball. This app doesn't work on Samsung Galaxy Note 5. It works on my Samsung phone and that's it. Granted, it does say it isn't optimized for my device but that's not an excuse for not doing the job correctly if you're selling a $5,000 device. Had I known that it was that limited I would have looked for another set of hearing aids.
`I set my "favorite" setting as both ears, the low, middle, and high all the all the way up because, by default, these things barely help. If I accidentally hit a button on them or get done listening to something through them, they refer back to their worthless "normal" setting. No! Go back to how I see it! I shouldn't have to open this stupid app! Also, it really pisses me off that I have to buy a comdex because this medical device has exclusivity with Apple! Widex, how greedy. Shame on you!`Page navigation:
