Financial Bites play online

Recent studies conducted by the Bank of Italy have revealed a discouraging fact: in Italy only one person out of four has a financial education, and this means that financial illiteracy affects 74% of the population. Furthermore, according to the "Global Financial Literacy Survey", Italy ranks sixty-third for financial education in the world, after Madagascar and Senegal. This astonishing cognitive deficit, in addition to distancing a large part of the community from financial instruments, from the simplest (mortgages/loans) to the most complex (investments in financial products), constitutes an evident obstacle to the country's economic growth, so much so that it is estimated that Italians have deposited, but not invested, in current accounts around 1800 billion euros (as published in 2021 by the Italian Banking Association - ABI). An enormous potential for the growth of the country, however exposed, given the passive stock, to the erosion of inflation.
Unlike other OECD countries, financial education is not part of the Italian school curriculum. For this reason, this project, called Financial Bites, aims to disseminate the basic concepts and elements of the economy in a simple, effective and exhaustive way, i.e. that set of knowledge that allows conscious and secure access to to economic and financial relations.
