DESCRIPTION

Use UptoPlay to play online the game BlueNavtex2.

This App interfaces solely with Nasa Marine's BT3 Bluetooth Navtex receiver, using BTLE (Bluetooth Low-Energy, aka bluetooth 4) technology, available from Android 4.3 upwards and supported by most device hardware.
With this app you can customise the receiver name, set the PIN, set the channel and channel timers, and of course, retrieve, filter and display the Navtex messages stored by the receiver.

Comments:

Great response from developer! Flips between portrait and landscape modes because of screen size limitations on smaller devices. They're looking at improving this. I had a problem with unresponsive device after running for a few hours. After some coaching from John I worked out that I need to properly disconnect after each session. Still hoping that messages can be stored in the app in a later release.

This is a truly terrible app. Entirely counter-intuitive and has many bugs that you have to figure out for yourself. Just to give one example, to input stations you type in the station ident code such as 'C' for Portpatrick. When you submit an error complains about 'invalid characters. The only way to proceed is to enter the letter, then delete it then enter it again. Then it can be saved. That is just bonkers. The cause is that the coder has put a full stop in each field as a placeholder which must be deleted before you entere test - this is sloppy in the extreme. It also does not install with 'sane' defaults and so far the unit is not working for me. The hardware appears to be good quality but they need a properly coded app (with some thought given to UX) for this not too inexpensive bit of kit.

Totally worthless app. From homescreen I can only choose "Scan" button but nothing happens at all when pressing Scan! No interface at all! On IOS I was able to get the BT-3 working in just seconds with an 3rd party app.

I've tried so many times to get this working, just doesn't display any data. Just displays old msgs from 14th Sept many years ago. I might as well through the unit in the dustbin. It connects to the unit both led lights are on.

App worked well. Help could have more content and use more of screen. App lacks a select text and copy facility (to translate French)!'
