This is pretty awesome. I saw an ad on TV and got a few sets for my nephew today. One was the Trident ST-33 Gunship. The app is nice as well. Longer missions would be great. Sets interacting with the app would be next level dope!!!! I hope this becomes the next big thing. It's a cool concept that can easily evolve....
Could you perhaps add a mode where you don't need to use your camera for AR? sometimes the camera locks up and no matter how much you wait or move it won't resume and allow you to scan the build. Maybe just put the ship in a skybox then allow the phones accelerometers to look at parts if the ship like how VR videos work, or allow touch scanning.
Super cool! This app is a great companion to build your own Snap Ships. The 3D instructions are even better than the printed ones in the kits, plus you can build other suggested creations from multiple kits. The VR and flight simulations really bring them to life (whether you own those parts or not).
This game was said to be a build your ship type of game, but, no, you don't get any of that, instead you get to watch the ship get built, and sure, it might have good gameplay, but I came here to build and customize my own ship, not to watch a premade, piece of scrap metal piece itself together.
This app is designed to work with the Snap Ships toys where you can take the pieces and snap them together to make your own awesome space ships. It's awesome that the app tells you which kits to buy, and also let's your recreate most ships that you can make yourself for real!"
