Tower of Hanoi is a mathematical puzzle introduced to the West by French mathematician douard Lucas in 1883.
The game starts with discs stacked in descending order of size. The object of the game is to move the entire pile of discs to the last peg so that a larger disc cannot be placed on top of a smaller disc.
