Created for people who have lost someone too soon, TheClaireEffect helps people celebrate their friends and family who have passed on in a light and integrated way. Through fun tasks, members can receive push notifications that urge them to do activities that help keep the memory of their beloved friend or relative alive.
Notifications that a new task has been posted to the "Assignments" section help keep users engaged. Assignments have ranged from eat parmesan cheese to write a letter to a cousin. After completing assignments, reports are posted in the app's "Reports" section, which allows photos and comments. Doing special things helps us include our dear ones in our lives, even when they are no longer here in a way that is light-hearted and communal.
