`This is "The Little App that Almost Could" - it has so much potential, but doesn't deliver on virtually all fronts. The idea of this app is that - connected to an OBD-II tool - it provides functionality almost as good as high-end professional tools. Unfortunately it doesn't deliver on those promises. Issues: 1. Pairing instructions are horribly wrong except on the Repair Solutions website. (Note: you *DO NOT HAVE TO PAIR* - it can find the device itself.) 2. (See #1) The app mentioned the need to pair in several places even though "formal" pairing is not necessary and not possible. 3. The app is totally useless without an active internet connection since 99.99999% of the functionality is web/cloud based. It is not possible to do anything with the app, except for connect and fetch the device's S/N, without an internet connection. 4. When paired with an advanced version of their OBD-II tool (3160g) that supports "live data the app does not appear to be able to display live data. (Though, this may also require an Internet connection.) Summary: The RepairSolutions app is a total waste of space without Internet or cellular data.`,What's the point of a worthless app? It claims to automatically connect to the scanner, Innova 3160g. The app goes straight to scanning but never connects to the scanner although the scanner is connected to the vehicle, Bluetooth is on, and vehicle ignition is ON. The app doesn't even try to connect to the scanner yet shows scanning the vehicle?? This is a complete trash application. Don't even bother downloading, you will be immensely disappointed.
Won't connect to device. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling app several times. Also tried all troubleshooting in app and restarting phone. Still would not work. Sent an email to customer support. We will see what happens? Update. Technical support got back with me quickly and it was determined the device was bad.
This app tired I guess kinda it honestly sucks spent 80 dollars on their dongle and got it to connect to this app and the gauge app thought oh cool it works it cleared the codes and all was good noticed it wouldn't reconnect to the gauge app tried this app again and nope so itll only work once apparently then your on your own tired all their stupid fix it things and nope they need to admit their app sucks
INVEST IN A BETTER SOFTWARE DEVELOPER, this app is the coolest thing ever, until you realize it's difficult to use... using vins is super hard and once you setup for a car you cant switch.... but you have to buy vins to be able to do so, I bought the vins and now it just says honda accord... not my ban or my other 3 cars that I have tried to sync up with.... annoyed AF.."
