DESCRIPTION

Use UptoPlay to play online the game Mint Works.

Mint Works is a simple worker placement game that plays in about 20 minutes. The game is uncomplicated enough to introduce new gamers to the concept of worker placement, while also having enough depth to keep the experienced gamer interested. Players will have a limited amount of workers (mint tokens) that allow them to purchase more workers or buy and build plans. Building plans gives players access to additional abilities and the victory points necessary to win the game. Once a player reaches seven victory points, (or the plans run out) the game is ended at the end of the round. Whoever has the most points at the end of the final round wins the game!

Enjoy with UptoPlay the online game Mint Works.

Comments:

App runs fine on my pc (BlueStacks). I do agree that the screen graphics are fast and it takes some time to get used to what is happening; however, the AI (Rachael) is beatable once you play a half-dozen times or so. That does not mean that you are going to win every time, though. It's a very nice worker placement that you can pick up, learn a little bit more, and move on to something else. Visually very nice.

The interface is really clunky. Too many animations, especially between player turns. I don't need the entire screen to grey out every time I press one button. Also, $4.99 for this game is way too steep. It's not a mobile adventure rpg. I would gladly pay $2.99 for the entire game, but only after updates to the interface. The AI in the free version is way too difficult and discouraging.

Glitchy solo player so far. I've seen the AI go first even though I had the starting player token. I've also not been allowed to use the Supplier card although I have enough mints to buy a card. Plus in the card game solo mode, the AI has to use the location cards in a certain order, based on availability...I don't see that the AI is held to the same stricture in the app.

The game itself is fine, but I agree with the complaints about the animations. I have the physical game, so playing was no problem, but I can definitely see how someone unfamiliar would have a hard time picking it up with all the distractions. A simple toggle to be able to turn them off would go a long way.

You are only given an AI opponent is given ridiculous advantages. If you want different AI opponents who are also horribly unbalanced you have to pay money. If you want to play online you have to pay money, if you want to just play with someone else via pass and play you have to pay money. This is just a cash cow, nothing more.'
