I'll give it a three. The gameplay is decent and the UI is okay (when a check, en passant or castling occurs, the words in the middle tend to stay for about 3 or 4 turns.) My biggest problem is the AI. I've conquered the Begginners, Apprentice, and Expert leagues, and I have a 45 W record. 0 losses, 0 draws. A vast majority of the matches end when the opponent material drops below 10, they resign. Even in the two instances they were winning.
The application doesn't let me change to 2D pieces, I have to unlock it first. But I cannot unlock it because I cannot win, and i can't win because I don't have the 2D pieces (3D pieces are too similar and i lose because the rook looks like the king, etc.). In order to know how to unlock the 2D pieces, you have to go to the medals room. But you cannot find any information there, just the medals. So I got stuck with the 3D pieces forever :(
Game is very challenging. Board graphics are kind of hard to make out and the pieces move too rapidly. However. I do like the tournament aspect of the app and how it keeps track of your progress against opponants.
It's either too difficult or too easy, depending on the bot. The developers need to put all easy bots in lower RP tournaments, and put the difficult bots in the higher tournaments. The inconsistency in tournament difficulty is starting to get annoying.
Bad graphics. Please give option for 2D graphics. And those tournaments are vs AI. Would appreciate if you made a vs real player tournament like in World Chess Championship. I really like that one. But WCC doesnt have tournaments.'
