This a great learning tool, but it is flawed. As others have said you cannot see the declination. Though I did some research and the preset map declination was .3° so basically you can ignore it. Another problem is that the compass does not rotate unless you use the right toggle. Movements with the left toggle will not cause the compass to move. So you don't know if you are following the right azimuth. Though with all those flaws I correctly found all points first time. It tells you if you did.
Game is pretty cool, effective for getting more of a visual on the fundamentals for new learners or refresh. Couldn't play it correctly though because I couldn't get the GM angle to open up big enough to read the offset. Trying to terrain associate is hard as well when features like roads don't have enough visual distinction to identify them from dirt patches. Could just be my smaller phone though.
It's a good learning tool, only issue is plotting, can't see the gm angle, the first preset map is .3 I know that so that one I can get the other two I can see the gm, if you fix that this would be a great practice tool
Great concept. We could not read declination/GM angle on the map, or distance indication from the line tool. The game does not adjust to fit for my phone resolution.
This app is an excellent training tool. Some have complained the display of declination is too small to read. Use your pencil and protractor to extend the lines off the angle an viola there's your GN angle for declination. Good tool."
