Recently the streams have been weird. I can hear the audio of the stream continuing, but the video is frozen. The commercial break at the start is very annoying. Lastly, please make it, so the chat is fully visible. In landscape, the names and messages of the people in chat are cut off when they get too close to the edge between stream and chat.
An overall solid alternative to the official twitch app with some room to grow. Overall happy with my experience but there are big Q.O.L. improvements that would make the experience much better. My biggest issue is menus not working if my phone is tilted at all, screen will go to black trying to open a stream. Once you get a stream running, it works great. I love the sleep timer, ability to log into my account, and no ads!
It used to be a good app, as twitch's was not user friendly; however this app isn't perfect either. It has an unwavering number of bugs, sometimes forcing me to reopen streams or vods several times for them to play, and it too lacks many QoL improvements I was hoping for in a Twitch alternative. Now, especially since twitch has skip-forwarding, I feel that it is no longer an improvement over Twitch.
`It worked well for awhile, but as of last month I have been getting "commercial break in progress" at least 3-4 times before the stream begins. So it'll be about 45+ seconds of watching that commercial break in progress screen on top of the stream randomly going into that screen mid stream. Video on the streams pause, but sound is still in sync. So I can hear stuff that's going on, but the video is frozen. It unfreezes after like 30seconds to a minute, but it is infuriating.`, `Good app with a couple issues. It's solid, responsive, simple and customizable, but the thumbnails take a while to load in the "My Streams" section and sometimes just don't show up at all and followed streamer thumbnails don't persist through a force close, also a streamer randomly went offline, had to back out and reenter (not huge issues just little qol things). But the bttv functionality and minimal ads make it worth using. Solid app that could be perfect with a few small touches. Thanks!`Page navigation:
