Old Operating Theatre play online

This app gives Old Operating Theatre Museum & Herb Garret audiences - onsite or at home - the chance to come face to face with a surgeon from the early 19th century. Mr Benjamin Travers was a renowned British surgeon whose diaries describe many of his procedures. In one entry in particular he relates the story of Elizabeth Raigen, a patient whose injuries required her leg to be amputated below the knee. Across three short monologues, Mr Travers introduces the user (playing the role of a new medical student) to the operating theatre and explains Mrs Raigens surgery.
