What is the TAPR-CPM App?
The TAPR-CPM App (Tapering And Patient-Reported Outcomes for Chronic Pain Management Application) is an app that can help you stay on track with your opioid tapering plan.
Through the app, you can:
\tShare weekly pain scores with your doctor
\tMonitor your taper plan and progress
\tTrack daily activities that impact your pain
\tLearn new ways to manage their pain
The TAPR-CPM app is safe and easy to use. App features include a daily pain journal where you can track your daily mood and activities, mark your daily pain on a body map, and learn more about your pain patterns over time. The app also gives access to resources to help you in your tapering journey, including: information on what to expect when tapering, other peoples experiences during tapering, and social support resources to help you in your journey.
In the TAPR-CPM app, you can completely weekly pain survey about how intense your pain is and how it may be interfering with your daily activities. You can share your survey results with your doctor that prescribes your opioid medications and review the results during your next visit. In the app, you can also review your opioid tapering plan, changes to your opioid medications and suggested activities to help you manage your chronic pain.
Who made the TAPR-CPM App?
The TAPR CPM app was co-created by MedStar Health National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare, a multidisciplinary team that works to improve safety, efficiency and quality in healthcare, and Perk Health, a digital health company focused on human centered design and the psychology of behavior change. The TAPR-CPM app was funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
