Such a pointless app. Why even install this if it cannot be used as a substitute for the MoBIB card? Modern phones offer superior data protection to physical cards and can easily save tonnes of plastic as well as space by replacing all of them with respective apps. Belgium is significantly behind when it comes to using modern technology which is a pity. Why is there such resistance among the companies to switch to better solutions?
Was under the impression that you could use this app to validate instead of your mobib card. Quite useless to install an entire app just to check the status of your subscriptions.
01/03/19: unfortunately no updates. I manage to make a connection between the phone and the card, but no data is added to the app. It would be helpful if it could be possible to add the mobib to the app through the card number. I look forward for this app, hope you keep working on it. Does not read the card. useless if anything. the card works, I used it this morning on the tram, and the phone works, I use it regularly to pay in shops.
"Enabling card emulation requires investments and coordination from all public transport card issuers." This will never happen in Belgium... or maybe in 20 years. So, until then (when I can just use my phone to scan), this app is utterly useless.
It used to work great and tell me how many trips I had left and duration of connection left but it seems the current version doesn't work anymore. It beeps but nothing is displayed."
