Intelligent and robust sensors for air cleaners monitor the filter status. The collected data is uploaded to the cloud, a real-time data analysis is performed and a calculation of the remaining filter service life is delivered. Changes to the environmental conditions such as the climate conditions can be integrated in the analysis. A special app delivers the exact remaining service life and also other data and services for the customer.

Almost $200 for the part, plus two hours of installation, plenty of ways to mess it up, $20 a month since... it doesn't even actually measure air flow, a predictive algorithm? You mean an egg timer? Biggest rip-off ever... how come you're too lazy to check your air filter once a year, just go replace it once a year or so... How about doing every other oil change? How is that for a predictive algorithm?
This is an awesome app. It is a new innovative IoT solution that helps users track their filter lifetime and has clever features like GPS location monitoring, engine state (running/idle) ..etc.
