The backstory of the game
The game is a prequel to original game - Swelter. The USSR did not collapse in 1991, and Gorbachev was arrested for treason. The Soviet Union is going through a big change of power in the 90s. Against the background of the growing power of the Russians, the United States, Europe, Japan and all of North America decide to create the so-called League of the West to oppose the USSR. In contrast, the Middle East, India and other Asian countries, together with the USSR, decide to create their own union called the Confederation of the East. In 2004, under heavy pressure from both sides, the League of the West decided to hold general exercises in Finland in order to make friends between the two most powerful unions, unfortunately the USSR took advantage of this chance and attacked Europe. This is where the game starts...
