I bought my cam at Walmart. Upon reading these reviews id offer a lil help. Does it work? YES. Is it user friendly? NO. What I have found is I can only connect my phone to my camera from the cameras SSID screen. That seems to be the only screen which the camera emits a WIFI signal. I can play, play online ETC from the app while on that screen. At the end of the day folks you get what you pay for. This is exactly that.

`The app works fine. All these 1* reviews are because people are not configuring it correctly: Press the '>' button to display the SSID. This turns on the WiFi radio. On your phone tap on Settings -> Connections -> WiFi. Connect to the displayed SSID "GOPROx". The password is 12345678. You will see a warning message that you are not connected to the Internet through this WiFi Access Point. Tap Ok. Now back out and launch the PilotCam app. In the app tap on CONNECT TO DEVICE. That's it.`,

I would recommend it, First of read the manual from cover to cover so you can read what and how it works it has its own wifi yes so you cant just open the cam while it is hooked to another wifi system on which your phone hooks up. it is not a fullblown go pro cam but i think you figured that out by the price. the picture is good on it if you dont screw the settings up. You can find the wifinetworks on your phone so you can switch between them and have a working cam you can only get the vids through that network you cant just watch how you drive on your phone real time. Is a bit safer that way

The instuctions are a bit sketchy but the camera and app do work. While the camera wi-fi is on , connect to it like you would any other wi-fi source.

Works sometimes. Honestly the camera I got was from Christmas and it's kinda trash. Keeps falling off my dash. So to be fare, I haven't used ituch. But when I did the app was slow and took a minute to get things rolling"
