Mount Royal Cemetery is one of Canada’s National Historic Sites. Located on Mount Royal in Montreal, it was founded in 1852. Through the years, Mount Royal Cemetery has become a tremendous natural and historical treasure with its changing topography, its centenary trees and its majestic monuments.

This application is a great way to explore Mount Royal Cemetery at your own pace. Thanks to geolocation (GPS), an interactive map will help you locate interesting sites such as famous people’s monuments and rare trees.  You will be automatically notified whenever you are near one of the 70 points of interest while audio and written historical information as well as many photographs appear on your screen.

The application can also be used with non-GPS enabled devices or off-site; you can browse the list of points of interest from any location. The application is completely self-contained and once it is downloaded, no data connection is needed to tour the Cemetery.

This app was meant to be used offline, so you must play online all required content before leaving for Mount Royal Cemetery. Just make sure you are connected to a wifi network before opening the app. Once the app is open, the play online process should begin automatically.
