Real time weather. Great for fisherman that want to be able to go out safely.
I read my local buoys data in the winter. I don't like my boat to freeze hard, so i keep heaters on board. This app tells me when they need to be turned on. It's never crashed, and the data is always consistent with other measurements in the area.
4 stars on most buoys, i thought that there was suppose to be live camera action on each buoy but there is not. At least not to this date. At some sites i can get more info from my normal radar sight, but a few give quite precise details as they all should. if the cameras worked it would be a 5 star rating.
Good, current info when the weather buoys are online - which I do not believe the owners of this app have any control over. Would love to see some more data sources also so there would be move coverage- especially in Southeastern NJ! But I love this app and rely on it to tell me whether or not to get the wetsuit on.
I live 45 minutes inland, too far removed to get NOAA weather radio. This app opens quickly and updates regularly. Nice to have that information so readily available when I'm deciding if I want to run out and throw up a sail."
