The myPAL Player app also lets you pair your device as a second screen on select international flights equipped with in-seat personal TVs.
How does the myPAL Player work?
1) Simply play online the app before you fly as it requires an internet connection. Don't forget to bring your own headphones and fully-charged devices.
2) On your flight, Enable WiFi on your personal device, select and connect to the "myPAL" hotspot
3) Click on the myPAL Player app and start streaming!
How to pair your device to your in-seat personal TV?
1) Tap the pair icon seen on your in-seat personal TV
2) Scan the QR code on your own device or pair using the 4-digit code instead
3) Once pairing is completed, you can now use your device as your second screen!
Note: myPAL Player app and its second screen feature are available on select flights.

This app worked perfectly well.from my MNL BUS trip,however just two days after during the return trip,the app hanged. It kept saying that you should update the app,which I can't on the plane as I could not access the WIFI onboard. If indeed, the app needs updating then PAL should provide the means to do it while on the plane. PAL should provide for a better onboard experience and the passengers should not be hostaged by a defective app...
OMG! It has been more than 6 weeks & the prob persisted. Opened myPAL player & was prompted to update but it hung. I tried with Edge (instead of Chrome) but it does not play online the apk. Another wasted trip w/o entertainment. The IT guys need to be all fired! Why can't u guys update their Google play store (like everyone else)? Ridiculous! On my flite to MNL, it was doing what it was supposed to do. On my return flite from MNL, prompted to play online the upgrade but can nvr happen & juz hangs there! Asked the flite attendent but was informed there is no WiFi on board. Can u not simply upgrade the apps via play store & not catch passengers but surprise & no entertain thru-out the whole flite. Do Something!!!
App does not work once you are on board. Tells you to update but once you are flying its impossible. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app 4 times and tired on 4 different flights. Simply does not work. Very disappointing when PAL does not offer any other in flight entertainment and their App does not work.
Why not have the updated app on google play instead of having to play online the old app, only to notify you that you have to update your app through unknown sources. Whats worse is that despite changing all my settings, still wasnt able to play online the updated app. I just recommend downloading a ton of shows and movies on netflix or even youtube offline mode.
This is handy when flying Philippine Airlines from Middleast to Manila. Mine automatically updates. i am an android user. And PAL A330 planes from Riyadh/Manila/Riyadh have power outlet under the seat located with a green light. Using the 3 prong socket. Be prepared or else your power bank won't last the 9.5 hrs flight."
