The Made in Hawaii Festival has been instrumental in promoting the core values of our island community, culture, economics and environment elements essential to the well-being of our state and economy. The Made in Hawaii Festival was originally produced and created by the Hawaii Food Industry Association (HIFA) and today continues to serve our island community as a business incubatorsupporting our local entrepreneurs in all market segments to include agriculture, manufacturing, retail and hospitality all components to help Hawaii rebuild and renew. Made in Hawaii is not just the name of our event, but represents our island values, integrity, and that special added ingredient of aloha that our merchants infuse into their products to make them unique, innovative, and truly of Hawaii. What truly sets this event apart from all other shows is that to participate...at least fifty-one percent of the wholesale value of the consumer commodity is added by manufacture, processing, or production within the State. Not any vendor can participate, as there is strict adherence to these standards.
