`I have several of the OITTM outdoor smart plugs and they've worked great for several years. Recently, Alexa no longer finds any of them associated with my account. I can still control the plugs with the OITTM app, but not with voice commands via Alexa. I have found a solution to this. Install the Smart Life - Smart Living app, add each plug as a generic wifi plug. The app not only recognized the plugs, it knew the names I gave them. And now Alexa "sees" them again, and voice commands work again. Not much point keeping this app installed when they work via the Smart Life - Smart Living app, except as an emergency backup, I guess.`,I would have given this 4 stars but suddenly my outdoor outlet has disappeared from the devices list. I can no longer access the device from my phone or from Alexa. Kind of pointless to have a dumb device in the location mine is in, and that's what the outdoor outlet is now.
The app works just fine with Alexa. Uninstall & reinstall if you have problems. Remember to have the app running in the background if you are using timers!
This app was working great. Latest update removed widget (why take away a great feature) and also no longer works to fully control two of my smart light bulbs that it previously worked perfectly with.
Trying out Oittm smart plug unfortunately app has basics options to power on / off only.no schedule function found. Disappointed with limited options'
