English Translator Reader (ETR) is an English reader with built-in translators and personal dictionary.

ETR mission
Our aim is providing countless opportunities for non-native English speakers to study English effectively through reading in an easy and enjoyable way.
ETR goal is to make reading in English easier and more convenient without any kind of distractions such as finding words translation in the dictionaries so that a reader can focus on the gist and reading itself.

The news.

ETR allows you to open any book, file from your device. It can be pdf, txt and any other supported format.
E-libraries provides tons of books at different English levels.
Flexible books search allows you to filter books by genre, author, title and English level.

The news contains up-to-date news so that you can keep up with the latest. Many news providers are available such as News in levels, CNN, CNBC, Investing, NPR, EuroNews, etc. You can also filter the news by subject/group.

Choose among many translators and add new words to your personal dictionary instantly while reading!
In addition, ETR allows translating words from other applications!

Online and offline translators
ETR has an offline translator and multiple online translators such as Google, Bing Microsoft, Multitran, Yandex, Babylon, etc.

What it is more, ETR provides translation through google translator application or any other translator, which is able to process selected text.
Finally, you are also welcomed to see the translation in a different context, listen to native speakers in various context.

Graded/adapted English materials.
Read the news or your favourite books easily at your English level!
In order to make reading in English easier and enjoyable for non-native English speakers, ETR provides many graded, adopted materials for different English levels.
These materials at different levels are available in the news and in the e-library.

Personal Dictionary and learning new words.
Add new words to your personal dictionary so that you can repeat and memorise them later.
Moreover, you can do it in many ways such as word repeater or table view, specifying a words level or group (section).
New words can be added there manually or while reading or even from other applications.
What is more, in order to memorize words better, you can get images of the word, check the word in the various context and listen to the right word pronunciation in different accents and context.

Listening options.
You have multiple options to study the right pronunciation.
Listen to the pronunciation of translated words, sentences in the same menu.
Listen to native pronunciation in different accents and context.
Attach audiobook and listen to it when reading at the same time.
Use speech synthesizer specifying the text to pronounce. Speech synthesizer is available offline.
Many supported e-book formats.

ETR supports many e-book formats such as txt, pdf, fb2, rtf, html, doc(beta). We are planning to add many others such as EPUB, Djvu, etc.


ETR is a fully customizable application.
A lot of themes (day/night modes) are available for you. You can also specify text size, the app language, default translator, and many other parameters in the 'Settings' menu.
