BeyondPod has been my go-to for a long time, I bought the full version back in 2014. Unfortunately the bugs are finally too much for me to live with. Here is what I have encountered: Disappearing notification - the app flag in the notification bar sometimes disappears, even while playing. Overlapping audio - occasionally the app will pause by itself and when resumed the app plays the file multiple times from different points on the track, resulting in a confusing incoherent mess. Sometimes have to restart the app completely to fix. Smaller bugs like streams not updating on schedule, episodes not deleting after being played, and episodes displaying the filename instead of the episode title have been annoying but livable. The saddest part is how good the app has been for many years, but it seems its time to move on.
I have the full version The play button on the widget on the home screen isn't working anymore, lots of problems since the last update, worked great generally before. Edit: buggier than ever, really frustrating having it crash in the middle of playing or not updating correctly. Edit: This worked better for several months and then has been rotten again lately. I'm moving on (but am going to dislike figuring out transferring all of my feeds)
I have premium version of this this app for around a decade. Over 4 phones from 3 different manufacturers, the main issue of playback dropout over Bluetooth remains. Often can't get through a 30 minute podcast without erroneously stopping. Also, I have multiple notifications showing (up to 3), beginning immediately after the update to resolve excess notifications, which I never had before. Why I continue to use this app with significant issues, I don't know. It drives me crazy every other day.
First off, I rarely write reviews, but the amount of frustration and hatred for this app forced me to. Apparently this apps gets it rocks off by crashing Changing the podcast?..crash Switching Bluetooth devices?..crash Pausing? Oh you better believe that's a crash To be fair it does not always happen, but often enough to now be done with this.The devs have given up on this and I shall as well.
I love this ap to hold all my podcasts, and I have the premium version. I have had it for 8 years or so, but in the last month, it keeps stopping every 10 to 20 seconds while playing. I continually have to restart the podcast. I may have to look for a new podcast player.'
