I'm using a Galaxy Note 8. The phone paired through the app and connected. App has very limited functionality by design. Of the few things it is capable of, I will go into detail. The app will not turn the radio on/off. The app will not change dynamic range mode or any bass/treble setting. The app will not play music tracks via bluetooth to the radio. The app will not select a radio station or any other function. The app does have a working Battery Indicator. Nothing else works after pairing.
Just bought the new dewalt toughsystem radio and downloaded the app so far the connection was easy to execute, the radio is a nice radio I haven't messed with the app itself but I will, I am not able to turn volume up and down from the app itself I have to use the actual radio buttons or my phone up and down volume buttons, I Hope DEWALT can fix this issue, I will update once I start using this more.
I bought the tough system had it for not even a year and I had to replace it twice and then the app just keeps crashing ever since they came out with the new 2.0 the app sucks they need to re-adjust it for the radio cuz now my songs on my playlist don't even come on the screen anymore DeWalt love them but they need to spend a little time I'm fixing the app because my phone does keep forgetting the radio takes forever to turn on by the phone it's easier to turn on by hand.?????!!!!!!!!
Very good app! Everyone complaining about not being able to see their songs through the app...... you have ALLOW it to gain acess to your library/phone. Your phone SHOULD ask you this during setup. Only reason i didnt give it four stars is cause i cant change bass.treb.mid on my phone. Did i miss something Dewalt??
The app connected to the Radio/Amp/Bluetooth speaker as easily as I could imagine. The only slight issue I found is that it showed none of my music or playlists (possibly because it is all on my phone's SD card). Even so, I am able to play my music through my DeWalt using another app. 4 of 5 stars!"
