This augmented reality app brings to life forgotten narratives of students political activism at the University of Connecticut. Access photos, interviews, and other archival materials from the locations where the events took place.

This app has emerged as part of a project run by Greenhouse Studios at the University Of Connecticut designed to memorialize the histories of students resistance to racial discrimination and warmongering. The app populates the virtual public square on campus with memories of a past of which the University can be proud. The project aims to promote the values expressed in these acts of activism by choosing to commemorate them and to save them from neglect. The app is thus part counter-history that elevates the agency of ordinary students, and selects them as a representatives of the values endorsed by the academic community.
