Pure Gas is a simple front end app for the popular website pure-gas.org. You get a list of 100 ethanol-free gas stations sorted nearest to furthest. Just click on the one you like, and get driving directions!
Version 2.0 now includes an excellent map feature to help find ethanol-free fuel in just the spots your interested in.

Seems to work pretty well. I'm happy with it. Pro: Shows with list or map most of the no-alcohol gas stations within 50 miles. Shows gas stations on both sides of the border if you're at a state line. Shows which no-alcohol octane available. Allows you to jump straight to Maps from the app. Con: It doesn't allow me to change location for planning purposes. Note that it doesn't claim to have this feature but would be nice if it did. Thank you Pure Gas for the app!!
Doesn't work like expected. I expect being able to zoom into a map area, and then click stations and have a list of stations in the area that I zoomed in to. Instead it always lists stations near your location, or if it does not have location data, it lists all the gas stations in the state that you're in. This makes it difficult to plan a gas stop that is 100 miles away.
`Added a star because they fixed the location permission issue in Android 11. Still can't give this a higher rating because you can ONLY search from your current location; you can't change to an area where you're planning to travel. There's no way to view a station from the list on the map and no way to view details about the station from the map pins. This makes it really hard having to pick a station based soley on distance. Using the "navigate" option for each station is tedious`,I would echo the top review I saw, although I understand that loading all of the locations takes more time, battery, and data, we need an option to select a larger radius or select locations by state (like on the website). I may switch back to a shortcut on my home screen, but would be interested in beta release testing like many other devs offer while you get this feature right. Overall though, you all offer a great service!
I am updating my review. Since the recent update, the app is working as it should! Original Review: Several weeks now, unable to use the app and it is allowed GPS access. Fails to load, on wifi, on cellular, and even when manually input a zipcode. please fix this as the app is much easier to use than the website. Works on my iPhone but doesnt work on the Android. I also like the look and feel of the one on the iPhone. Maybe if this gets updated it too will look like it.'
