This is a great product, well designed. Everything you need to know about your electric use.
So good to be able to see not only power usage but to also identify individual items that are drawing current. A real eye opener for the kids to know the added cost of leaving powered items on. Combined with REAMPED energy supplier, we are already saving $$. Only had it active for a couple of weeks & check it a couple of times a day. Absolutely no problem with Bluetooth link so I'm not sure why other feedback reflects issues in this area.
There's not much free today but this little gem was. Installation by a professional was quick and easy. Downloaded the application & paired with my Android phone, very simple. Now have a daily graph (plus history) of my daily electricity use by kWh & by cost. Gives you the ability to see in real time what your various electric appliances & gadgets are using. Quite revealing in some instances. Glad I picked up the option to have it at my home.
App design is very clean and easy to use, hardware letdowns aren't the app devs fault so 5 stars. Hardware: 1. I really wish the hardware could monitor solar feed-in.. You can kinda figure it out based on when the house is drawing 0 watts, but a negative number would be sweet.. Then it could give accurate cost projection after FIT was applied. 2. Bluetooth only is is kinda annoying, wish it connected to wifi so I could view it at all times over the net.. Our basic solar inverter does this.
Great interface and good little gadget. It'd be great to be able to annotate the usage and time to be able to tie patterns of consumption to what we are doing at the time. (Update) lowering my score as the app has recently started losing the pairing to the device every few weeks! So frustrating. (Update: still lose pairing every 10 days or so, please fix this as it's making the app, and thus the device, completely unusable...)"
