I cannot rate this high enough. It's fun, it's creative, I wish it was never ending. Obviously you need to like detective murder mystery games. You will need to pay for additional cases, I think you get like 3 cases free, but it's totally worth it. What a great game!
Actually one of my favorite games. It was exciting but not stressful, and I'm so sad I finished it because now I'm out of mysteries to solve.
It's ok... The mysteries were mediocre. They also tell you who the murderer is in the beginning, you just have to prove it... It wasn't very gripping, in my opinion. It's good if you want a casual story to pass the time, though.
Love the Layton series and this spin off is surprisingly fun! I've already played through all the cases and wish there were more! I hope this spin off can get a sequel! Because I wanna know what Lucy and the Prof will do after this game. Will they meet the other Layton characters or will they solve another strange string of murders?
I like it for the replayibility. Fun cases and, on purpose, I made sure to get all the answers wrong just to see what would happen. I was happy because even the red herrings and name puns are funny. There's not a lot of gore. Though downside is no new cases but at least the in app purchases are only a one time deal and you don't have to recharge stuff. If you're a fan of Buddy Cop stories meets Phoenix Wright with creepy overarching plots than this will be right up your alley."
