Another old BigFish game re-released by this company. Regretting having bought the entire game, but it wasn't much more than a cup of coffee. As others have said, it's dated and glitchy. I skipped too many of the mini-games because the controls either don't work at all or work so poorly they might as well not work. Sometimes, the English of the instructions doesn't make any sense. The back-and-forth is ridiculous. It's impossible to explore a location entirely at once. You can only access certain areas if you have already been to some other area. So, you go someplace to discover that you need one item, go back to where you just were, to find that one item. Return and use it. Repeat. There's far too much story and far too little game play, as well.
Storyline, graphics, controls & gameplay are well done... to a point. Has a fast travel map & a journal. The length is adequate, as is the bonus chapter. Issues: the first time I played the game, after stopping for the night, I had to start over from the beginning because the game resetfor some reason. Also, each time I played the game, when I went to stop, my phone would lock up/crash, forcing me to shutdown my phone & restart. Plus, the game froze, crashed &/or lagged a few times. Annoying.
What a letdown! To start: can't enter your name, then Game flow is awful but not close to the terrible functioning controls. And the graphics, well... All detail was put on the characters and NONE anywhere else! I've used the hint button, which is VERY DIFFICULT TO ACCESS, prob more this game than the last 10 combined. VERY DISAPPOINTING EIPIX or DOMINI! WHO KNOWS WHO IT IS BECAUSE DOMINI LOGO BUT EIPIX was on game startup... Either way, not playing a second time. UNINSTALLING! OVERPRICED!
I am super stoked that Domini is porting these games over to Android! These are THE BEST games!! I played on a Galaxy 10 and had no issues. Needing to tap in an exact spot is an Eipex deal- their games are notorious for that. But these are absolutely beautiful, the storytelling makes you feel like you're in a movie and the objects to find and games actually go along with the storyline- they're not just random. Plus you learn a lot on these Hidden Expedition games! Please continue with these!!
Not the raw awesomeness of typical DG games, but I did enjoy some of the different mini games in this one. If they stuck to a more Domini-style game play, and gave better instructions on how to play the games (there were a couple that didn't make sense so I couldn't complete them fully until I realised what they meant, which is a shame). But on the whole, I would play another... but would always choose DG games in the first instance."
