Designed for Android smartphones and tablets, Winscribe MD for Android incorporates an advanced scheduling system that allows physicians to view a live feed of their appointments, including patient details, on their smartphone or tablet. It allows you to immediately start a recording against a patient record with a single tap. As reports are matched to a patient record at the capture stage, patient safety is heightened and data quality improved - a critical component in ensuring the accuracy of electronic patient/medical records.

Note: This application replaces the original Winscribe Digital Dictation application. Existing healthcare customers may switch to Winscribe MD free of charge, using your existing Winscribe server licence.

Winscribe MD is different from other voice to text or dictation applications on the Android marketplace, as it is part of a wider dictation workflow solution that integrates directly into hospital information systems via a HL7 interface.
The integration of Winscribes dictation workflow engine with a hospitals information system ensures the smooth flow of information between systems. Without the need for re-keying information, turnaround targets for important documents such as discharge summaries, pathology and oncology reports can be more consistently achieved.

Traditionally, the less than optimal Wi-Fi coverage in many hospital environments has been a barrier to a more widespread adoption of mobile technology. Winscribe MD provides a solution: Reports can be securely sent via encrypted 3G, 4G or super-fast LTE connections. If data transfer costs via mobile networks are undesirable, Wi-Fi only modus can be enabled. In areas where no Wi-Fi connection is present, dictation jobs are stored and automatically uploaded once connectivity is regained.

Winscribe MD is designed to run on all Android phones with touchscreen capabilities on OS 4.0.3 or higher, and a Secure Digital (SD) card, as well as on Android Tablets.
