The mobile app on Citrus disease management is developed at the Department of Plant Pathology, Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai. Citrus is the second important fruit crop grown commercially all over the world and India ranks sixth among top citrus producing countries. Citrus crops are affected by many diseases viz., Phytophthora root rot, Dieback, Gummosis, Citrus canker, Greening / Huanglongbing and these are the major reasons for heavy yield decline. This mobile app has been developed with the comprehensive information on Citrus diseases, their diagnostic symptoms and nutrient deficiency symptoms for the precise diagnosis of the field problems. It also describes the management methods to minimize the biotic stresses, crop management practices to improve the productivity. Additionally, this application encompasses the calendar of operations that support the crop to maintain its vigour and help to defend against the pathogens. The application will be more useful to the Citrus farmers and stakeholders.
