Recognition Algorithm
The heart rate monitor app detects your pulse by using the camera of your phone. When your heart beats, the volume of the blood flowing through your finger tip be changed. This application use the camera to capture the image and use algorithms to recognize the heart beat. Please ensure the environment is well-lit for the best performance of the camera.
Instruction:
1.Start application
2.Put the "TIP" of your finger on the camera. (Make sure that your hand is not cold).
3.Ensure Flash LED is on/environment is well-lit and Don't press too hard.
4.The result should show in a few seconds.

An app that interfaces with Google Fit. This app is easy to set up and interfaces with Google Fit. There are few that do. That part was sweet. However, the actual heartbeat thing? Very frustrating and hard to get right. inconsistent with my phone and 2 cameras. Would give it higher... but. Update: If I use my left finger, I can get better readings. It's still not very consistent.
over all it's a very good app I've had no problems with it and so far it's on cue and very accurate.
Well it seems accurate. You can never tell with this sort of thing, but I do use it to gauge where I am, and it seems close. Ihave one issue with it. The adds come on before it gives you your rate. Full blown commercials that are loud, and you cannot stop them for 5 secons. So if you're at work everyone all of a sudden thinks you're playing a game, playing music or watching something. It's quite annoying for me. I'm thinking strongly of changing to a different monitor because of it.
Annoying advertising pops up after taking pulse blocking results page. You have to exit out of the ad page to see your pulse results. I'm not too sure of the accuracy, however, I like the ability to store and compare my workout pulse readings. I would consider paying a few bucks to eliminate those annoying ads to buy a jet.
This app is great. I have Afib and need to watch my heart rate. I have purchased another device that gives blood pressure and heart rate which cost enough to rely on its accuracy. This free app and the other device are without in 5 beats with each other. If you need just your heart rate, tbis is the app for you.'
