Smart Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is an app designed by IITM, MERKEL HAPTIC SYSTEMS Private Ltd and Institute of Child Health, India (ICH), based on the 8th Edition of NRP by American Academy of Pediatrics.
It will prepare the primary and secondary level healthcare professionals to understand the training requirements of neonatal emergency medicine and resuscitation courses. This Smart NRP has equipment checklist, practice and assessment modules.
In India, around 10% of the new born babies require some degree of professional neonatal resuscitation at primary and secondary level healthcare facilities for a few minutes of the birth. Healthcare professionals working in neonatal patient care should learn and practice neonatal resuscitation skills to avoid any human error while taking care of newborn babies. This app will help the healthcare providers to remember the sequence of NRP and preparation of equipment
