Comments:
This app is slightly harder to use than the other best apps but it has a much more flexible melody recognition trainer. It is light years ahead of the other apps for creating custom exercises for yourself. There's no parameter that isn't tweakable. Intervals, scales, octaves, timing, etc etc. It also has an almost unlimited number of different instruments available for exercises. Something all the other apps are sorely lacking. This is a winner
While many apps offer interval ear training, this one has an incredibly important asset in the Continuous Play mode which has allowed me to practice while driving without the need to click on anything. It's been truly a game changer. I would appreciate some tips on how to think about intervals and strategies to distinguish them (esp harmonic) other than repetition but it's beyond the scope of the app. There also many settings I dont get so possibly the app is even better than I understand ;)
2/08/20 Learning Intervals? Perfect. 3/24/21 When I started I was basically tone deaf. I would focus on two intervals at a time and try to tell the difference for hours with no progress. Literally thousands of trials. Sence then I have leared to hear all intervals within an octave, ascending and descending with above 94% success rate. Sometimes I think the app could be more random in selecting the interval, but it works well, and my improvement speaks for the effectiveness.
This is a great, no-frills app for ear training. Using it has unbelievably improved my intonation on the violin, especially for intervals larger than a second, since I can now hear the difference between correct and almost correct. Thank you for making and sharing this app with us.
The is decent but has a few annoying issues. First of all, the sound effects are just god awful, seriously. Not only are the sound effects very unrealistic, there's a distortion when chords are played. Kinda weird set up and difficult to configure compared to other similar apps. Other than that its not that repugnant."
