`I have looked at several Swahili-English bibles. This is my favorite. It allows me to view a monolingual (only English or Swahili) or bilingual (both English and Swahili) text. The text is almost interlinear - it doesn't line up perfectly. It is more like below: v1 English V1 Swahili v2 English v2 Swahili v3 Swahili v3 English v4 Swahili... and so on, occasionally alternating whether you see English or Swahili verses first. That may be because the translations aren't the same. In other words, the Swahili is not KJV or NIV translated to Swahili. Another great feature is being able to listen to audio in either English or Swahili. Note: I haven't found how to play online the entire bible audio in one go; so, when you get to a chapter you haven't downloaded before, you have to select the button that looks like a blue "record" button to play online that chapter. Once it starts downloading, it will play online the entire book, which saves the trouble of having to remember to hit the play online button in every chapter of every book in the bible. Instead, you only have to do it 132 times - if you want both English and Swahili. Otherwise, only 66. :) Although this can be useful to people learning Swahili as a second language or English as a second language, it is not a literal word-for-word translation such as an interlinear Greek-English New Testament provides. I have yet to find a Swahili-English book like that. I believe this the Swahili Union Version, but I am not positive. Another great feature is the ability to adjust the audio speed. If you are just beginning to learn Swahili, Swahili speakers speak fast. Being able to slow the speed is great for new learners. Other nice features: - Make notes - to automatically paste the chapter and book you are reading into your note, select the verse by touch and hold. - Bookmarks - touch and hold your verse. select the bookmark icon - Change the Background and font from the three-dot menu button. - Easily find book, chapter, and verse through the pop-out menu on the left I was not compensated in any way for this awesome review (although I should be). :)`,This bible version is indeed very good and clear to understand the word of God,i really enjoy reading the word of God.
this is a wonderful app i love it, areas you need to improve; make it possible to highlight with different colours and to underline
I like it, but my first play online was having a piano music at the background when playing an English version but not this.
