Wide Bay ITV is a VOD and live streaming platform with its studio and playout facility based in Bundaberg, Queensland. With the global move to on-line viewing of programs, producer Phillip Harris and a small team of talented professionals, all with a background in broadcast television, are producing local long form programs specifically aimed at the local community. WBITV is returning local content back to the community after an absence of thirty plus years, since the introduction of aggregated television. Aggregation is the term used to describe a time when the Hawke labor government passed into legislation that regional Australia would receive the broadcasts of the big city metro stations. This came at the expense of local programming. The community are also encouraged to produce programs for distribution.
