I've been a 24/7 member for years, & this app has been awful the whole time. It randomly stops, & I have to go find my place. Another gripe is that the archived shows are listed in a way that doesn't allow easy playback. I like to listen to the whole week on the weekend. It will play hour 1, 2, 3... but then goes to an older show. It would be more convenient if newer shows were listed first (3, 2, 1 pattern) so I could start on Monday & it would play through oldest to the newest show on Friday.
Nice effort, but it misses the mark. Like most, if not all Android users, I use it to stream the program's audio archives, either today's broadcast or yesterday's show. I have an updated Note 8 and after 5-15 minutes it stops playing, and won't start playing until I unlock the phone. It's very frustrating and happens every time. I have learned to just go to his website and log into 24/7 and listen straight from the website. Works much better.
App crashes if a text comes in or I use navigation. Can't even use it in my car because the bluetooth disconnects. I use it only to play online the show then have to use another media player to listen in the car. This has been true with two different brands of Android phones, LG and Samsung. Tech support promises an update, but it never happens. It's extremely slow too!
Love Rush and listen every day via the app. It looks great. It is just plain awful in terms of performance. Maybe it's my phone but I doubt it. The screen must always be on or it stops playing shortly after the screen turns off. I typically listen on demand and there is literally no buffer. So you better have a perfect connection or it's buffering or starting over. At random times when I start it, I have to re enter my login info which is really annoying when I'm in the car. I'm willing to suffer with this horrific app because the content is, as we know, top notch. And Rush has said many times, if the content is there, people will do whatever they can to access it. He's right.
Very buggy on my android Pixel 3a XL. It will play for 20 seconds or so with the screen off, then stops until I push the power button to continue. If I wait too long, it may continue but not where it left off. Also, there are screen rotation issues. There is no reason for any of this, especially on a paid app that I have paid for for countless years. The developer needs a strong spanking (we as kids had well-deserved whippings on a first offence but that's another story)."
