The renogy solar panels and charge controller are great! However this Bluetooth app is not at all helpful. It doesn't remember the device so you have to manually search for it every time you open the app. None of the graphs seem to populate for showing the panel output throughout the day (or any other metrics), and the rest of the history it provides is not very user friendly or useful. This app really has potential, as their physical products are amazing.
`I set up an account at Renogy. Hooked the renogy charge controller up including the Bluetooth device, down loaded this app but my phone won't connect to it and the app won't accept my Renogy password. The app doesn't offer you the ability to do anything if you are not logged in. I'm returning all the Renogy gear, deleting this app and am going to look for solar gear that is more user friendly. More "plug and play".`,Totally useless. You have to find and connect every time. Very basic information, just at that moment. As for history, forget it. Extremely limited and doesn't refresh if you select something different, date for instance. And its being replaced by something else equally useless except you are required to provide them your information to see your data, for what thats worth. They say to help them communicate with you. Why? If I need to communicate, I'll call. You don't need my data. Disappointing
Have to keep reloading it. It only reads some of the information sometimes. Takes a lot of time to get what your looking for.
Have to find and connect to the device every time the app is opened which is super frustrating. Far too easy to accidentally turn off with the placement of the switch and lack of confirmation. Granted, both annoyances that can be resolved in a few seconds, but shows lack of caring and thoughtful app design on their end. There's also no way this data is accurate so it's basically useless yet the Rover controller forces me to use the app since it won't work with the tracer meter I had before. Have Renogy in the van, Victron in the motorhome. Victron is worth every penny and Renogy continues to make that more clear each day."
