"One Sunday Afternoon" invites the viewer to enter a fantastical and bizarre painted world. Blue skies and green pastures serve as a backdrop to scenes of sunny afternoon bliss, where anthropomorphized plants and animals live and love in a world of heavenly utopia. But the vision is ephemeral all goes dark at the appearance of a high-heeled spider donning a gas mask and her followers.
