This application has two computation mode, multi threading on CPU, or parallel computing on GPU based on Android's Render Script API.
You can test difference of performance between CPU and GPU. Normally GPU computing is faster than CPU mode.

Great tools to measure the performance difference of CPU/RenderScript. However the CPU part is Dalvik/Java code still, it is better to include comparison with NDK.
Simple, works, demonstrates measurable renderscript gain, requires no permissions. Only one simple fractal trough.

Renderscript is young, and lacking features, but this app highlights that it can still mean tremendous performance boosts when utilized in the right way. With renderscript enabled, I am experiencing around a 10x improvement in the rendering speed of this app across my devices, even those that do not have GPU compute!'
