This is the first Roman Catholic edition of the Bible in Romanian translated from the original texts of pr. Father Alois Bula. Eduard Patracu being published by Sapientia Roman Catholic Theological Institute of Iai (Department of Biblical Research) in June 2013. Translation is a new, directly from the original languages and in consultation with the competent international and multi translations.

New Catholic Bible translation was started in 1991 by Professor Alois Bulai. Professor Alois Bulai and was later joined by Eduard Patrascu, director of the Biblical Research Department Iasi. The result of their work for 20 years is the modern version of the Bible that are in Romania
