Chaplet Of St. Gertrude Audio app is an audio prayer for the release of souls in Purgatory.

As St. Gertrude prayed, the Mother of God appeared to her, in the presence of the ever-adorable Trinity, under the form of a white lily, with three leaves, one standing errect, and the other two bent down.

St. Gertrude was born January 6, 1256 in Germany. By 1261 as a student at the Benedictine abbey at Helfta in Saxony she had been placed in the care of the Abess, Gertrude. The nuns of Helfta described Gertrude as a loveable and quick-witted.

During one of her visions Jesus told St. Gertrude that the following prayer would release 1000 souls from purgatory each time it is said:

'Eternal Father, I offer Thee the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family
