This App is developed as a volunteer effort to provide quick and readily available information about sustainable choices at home and outside when shopping, at restaurants, and grocery stores. It is an attempt at helping those who would like to be more sustainable, but don't have the time to do the online research.

The App has 3 sections:

"Did you know" section provides a quick overview of the most pressing sustainability issues and links to web sites for users who want to know more.

"Search database" rates about 200 commonly used ingredients and products based on their impact on the environment.

"Take Action" section provides links and suggestions on sustainable and unsustainable choices of food, beauty, garden products, fashion, and travel.

The App doesn't rate individual brands, but rather alerts the users of chemicals in everyday products and practices that are harmful to the environment. The information and links in the App can be used to quickly check out whether specific ingredients, fish, fabrics, wood, garden products, garden plants, and common gardening practices are sustainable so that users can make informed decisions. When possible the App provides suggestions for alternative choices.

Because of the vastness of the topics the App provides several links to non-profit websites of well known organizations. Links to product lists located on external websites are provided with permission of the organization.
