Comments:
The game is great and just like I remember it. I tried a couple other Phoenix games that were bundled with other games. Let me tell you, they sucked! Just play it and enjoy yourself. You will get used to the controls if you play, it's that simple (PRACTICE). You're not standing in front of the actual arcade machine. The buttons and joystick will be missed but just for a while. Someone that grew up playing and liking this game should give at least 4 stars. Great job dev!
Great rendition. However, although this is the arcade version, it would still be nice to have a pause button. And then when you unpause, give a three second delay depending if you black out the screen or not, so going back to the action will not be so jarring. Also allow for different placement of buttons altogether. I find the barrier and the fire button too close together. We should be able to adjust that to our liking.
To the best of my recollection, this appears to be a what you used to be called 'arcade perfect' recreation of what was one of my favourite shoot em up games of the day, including sound. There does seem to be the occasional collision detection error, my bullets often pass straight through enemies (particularly on the 'egg' levels). A few adverts but not intrusive and none mid game, which is fantastic. Brilliant work by the developers... please can we have Bosconian and Gorf next!
This is an exact copy of the original game. Even the sound is spot on. Control is never going to be perfect on a touch screen but I find it OK. Great to play if you have some time to pass. Just got to beat that high score!
Great copy of original game but unfortunately there's flaws like when you fire the shots sometimes, actually quite a bit goes through the enemy and there a bit too aggressive,I played this game 100's of times in the arcade rooms when it came out in the 80's,some work still needs to be done here, and it way too hard compared to original game"
