Poor implementation of several of the puzzle types makes otherwise easy puzzles artificially difficult to solve. For example, Nurikabe should let the silver mark a cell as black OR as non-black. Similar problem with Range. It's absurd that a specific instance of a puzzle is HARDER to solve using the app then on paper. I doubt the programmer actually does much puzzle solving.
