Hatsune Miku (Japanese: ), sometimes referred to as Miku Hatsune, is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media. Hatsune Miku is portrayed as a 16-year-old girl with long, turquoise twintails. She uses Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid 2 and Vocaloid 3 singing synthesizing technologies. She also uses Crypton Future Media's Piapro Studio, a singing synthesizer VSTi Plugin. She was the second Vocaloid sold using the Vocaloid 2 engine, and the first Japanese Vocaloid to use the Japanese version of the Vocaloid 2 engine. Her voice is modeled from Japanese voice actress Saki Fujita. Hatsune Miku has performed at her concerts onstage as an animated projection.
The name of the character comes from merging the Japanese words for first ( hatsu), sound ( ne) and future ( miku), thus meaning "the first sound from the future", referring to her position as the first of Crypton's "Character Vocal Series."

This app is pretty good, but I thought it was going to be only Miku wallpapers. To my surprise, there are alot of wallpapers from a wide range of anime. My problems are you can't search for or save a wallpaper, and since there are so many its hard to find the one you like if you changed it and want to change it back. You also can't make one wallpaper uour home screen and another your lock screen. Your jome abd lock screen have to be the same one or one has to be a default from your phone.
Edit: 2021 NO LONGER WORKS.............. some tips. yes it has ads. let the ads open completely before closing it. if you cancel too fast it wont process your request. some drawbacks i noticed 1)when using bluetooth wireless headphones connected to 2 devices. it wont switch to second device while you have the home screen open. almost as if it thinks the video is playing audio too. 2) while changing screens. the video aspect radio changes for just a few frames. noticeable when locking screen.
`I like a lot of the wallpapers available and the ads are tolerable but I've already encountered a few bugs. One is the picture will randomly go black and I have to uninstall and reinstall the app to fix it. I think switching wallpapers to quickly is what causes it. Two. Instead of tapping on "set wallpaper" to set it, just viewing it switches my wallpaper. This is a little annoying and I can't seem to fix it. Three. The wallpapers "shrink" when I view or apply them. I want them to look normal.`,It looks really good, one problem was when I tried to open it there was an ad in the way of the set wallpaper screen but other then that, it 100% works and I would recommend to any vocaloid fans like me -edit, I found out how to get rid of the ad blocking your way, just turn the ipad or phone the other way.
I wish you can interact with miku, and she will move around like a normal person, and she can do things she wants to do(not inappropriate), and u can change her outfit, and she would be awake or sleeping depending on the time of day, but other than that it's a great app!"
